What it means to be an Adelaide Freemason. There are 3,000 Freemasons belonging to 102 Lodges in South Australia and the Northern Territory throughout Metropolitan and Country Areas. Adelaide Freemasons share an exciting and interesting history as the first Adelaide Freemason lodge was consecrated in 1844, The St. Johns Lodge and was under the Scottish Right constitution.
Worldwide, the figure rises to six million Freemasons, all with their own special reasons why they enjoy Freemasonry. For some, it’s about making new friends and acquaintances. For others, it’s being able to help deserving causes- making a contribution to family and society. But for most, it is simply an enjoyable hobby.
